Guus Hiddink has stepped down as the head coach of the Dutch side.
He replaced Louis Van Gaal to take charge of the Oranje to lead them to Euro 2016 in France. But as a result of poor result his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
A statement from Dutch football's governing body read:"Guus Hiddink and the KNVB have decided to terminate the contract of national coach on 1 July".
Hiddink also apologised for a bad run in form. He said:
"I'm sorry it went this way," he said. "It was an honour to be coach of the Netherlands again.
"I wish my successor, the staff and squad the best of luck on their way to the European Championships in France."
