Former AC Milan Coach and Paris Saint-Germain director Leonardo believes striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic must make a decision on his future based on where he feels happiest.
"At this point in his career Ibra has to do something he wants and go where he feels good," the Brazilian told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "I think it matters more about how he feels, even if Ibrahimovic has always been a very rational person.
"He relies on a well-tuned sense of self-criticism, and it is only when he feels he is not able to perform to the levels that he always has that he will stop [playing]."
Regardless of where he chooses to play next, Leonardo insisted the Swede will remain a formidable presence on the field in the eyes of team-mates and opponents alike.
"I would always want someone like Ibrahimovic in my team," he continued.
"He improves the side from both a technical as well as psychological standpoint. All his team-mates feel more confident with him beside them.
"It is no accident that he has won so many titles, and is proof of his very high levels wherever he plays."
