Balotelli at 25

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli was in the mood for partying on Wednesday night as he continued to celebrate his 25th birthday.

The Italian striker was joined by some of his team-mates as he enjoyed a night at the Sorrento Restaurant in Formby.

Lucas Leiva, Mamadou Sakho, Lazar Markovic, Roberto Firmino, Divock Origi, Emre Can, Dejan Lovren and Martin Skrtel were among the Italian’s birthday guests.

Can took to Instagram to post a picture of the celebrations alongside the caption: ‘Happy Birthday Super Mario.’

 Balotelli wasn’t involved with Liverpool’s pre-season campaign this summer after being told he is not part of Brendan Rodgers’ future plans.

And his celebratory football shirt birthday cake was the Blue of Italy instead of the Red of Liverpool and even had a No 9 on the back.
